I want to put art decals on my walls, but my walls are paneling? Has anyone ever tried putting decals onto?

Wall art is made from what is called a calendared film, which is made by stretching vinyl many times. This causes the vinyl to have memory and pop out of grooves. This can be somewhat prevented by using a heat gun or hair dryer to conform the decal to the groove.
