Is it true reaching up above your head can cause a baby's umbillical cord to wrap around his neck?

I am 28 weeks pregnant and I went to reach up in a cupboard for a glass and my mother freaked out completely. She said that raising my arms above my head causes the cord to get wrapped around the baby. I am not so sure that it does because I thought the only thing that causes the baby to get tangled is the babys on twisting and turning and not anything the mother does. Is she right?

It is an old wives tale.....No it can not cause the cord to wrap around the baby's neck.....But if it will help you get out of a couple chores you can let your husband believe that....lol....jj
