For any backpacker weight is always something to think about and one place to save weight is your choice of sleeping bag. Would you recommend a backpack or tote bag?

i'm in middle school, and i've been using a totebag. should i continue to use it or get a backpack? because with the bag, when i have a lot of homework, it hurts my shoulder to carry the bag, with a backpack, would it be easier? just tell me what you think, please.

Backpacks are way easier to carry with your stuff in it. A tote bag can really be a pain.
