Should Prince William wear a suit for his wedding on April the 29th?

As the date for the Royal wedding draws ever closer, there is continued speculation regarding what Kate  Middleton's dress will look like.

 

What of Prince William? As Prince William is Colonel of the Irish Guards, he will most certainly wear his uniform.

As Prince William is a modern Royal it would be nice for him to break with tradition and wear  a suit.

Prince William has always followed Royal Traditons, and been a very good Ambassador for the Monarchy, but he also is a role model to many youg people and as such is in danger of seeming out of touch if he wears his uniform on the big day.

 

Also this is an opportunity for Prince William to show his followers that as well as been a Royal he understands modern life.

 

Prince William could quite easily wear a traditional Morning suit or indeed a lounge suit.

One-button fastenings are a key trend, as are details such a silk pocket hanky or white pocket square. A navy or blue suit would work well too. Perhaps it is time for the young Royal to do something different.

Either of these would look great and still be fashionable, as well as been formal enough for a wedding.

Given the fact that Prince William's wedding will be seen by Billions of people worldwide this is also an opportunity for the Prince to show his support for British clothing manufacturers and tailors.As by wearing a  suit made in the UK, he will enhnace the proifle of British designers, much in the same way Kate Middletons dress will.

 

One further benefit will be the ongoing sales of "look alike"  outfits. As many designers will be waiting with baited breath to catch a glimpse of Kate Middletons dress, and it will not be long before dresses of a similar style appear in high stree shops.

So should Prince William break with traditon and wear a suit instead of uniform on his big day or are some traditions sacred ?

On the other hand, by been traditional and wearing his Military Uniform on the big day is Prince William helping to preserve the Monarchy and all its pomp and ceremony?

I wait with baited breath an actual liberal suggestion for a specific course of action, and how to accomplish that. Aside from, clean up Bush's mess. Please, if you can, be as specific as possible, with specific policy suggestions, in the affirmative.
