I think my cory ate my neon tetra?

Ok i've got 4 corys and i bought 3 neon tetras (thats all they had at the store) and one died a day later. i was down to 2. now i can only find 1. i've checked everywhere in my tank but i can't find it. i've got a cover on. i was thinking my corys ate it. i also have a betta but he's not noticed the tetras. they've not bothered him- he has chased them out of his planted area. thats his territory. i get that. he's been aggressive to a emerald cory but never to the tetras. so did my cory get it or what? i need to get more i know. maybe 4-5 more. my tank can hold 5 more fish its a 10 gal. heavily planted- tall plants. driftwood it looks natural besides the toys i never used and put in it. (includes 1 baby barbie doll, a horse, a lizard, a car roof, a doghouse roof, and a plastic pinata, a dog, a cat, and some plastic worms,) (my betta attacked the baby barbie doll)
