What was the software called where you create your own barbie doll and you could have it sent to you?

i was talking with my sister one day and i was remembering that there was somethign where you could do that..i remember seeing a commercial when i was like about 6 years old and yea can't believe i was able to remember something from years ago hahaha. But if anyone could help me out and tell me what it was called then it would help me to not think about it too much haha

It wasn't software but part of the Barbie.com website. It was called My Design Friend of Barbie. You picked the skin tone, the hair color and style, the eye color, the lip color, the outfit and even a bonus accessory package. You had a multitude of selections to choose from. You also created a story for her by choosing where she lived (city, small town, etc), what her hobbies were, what she was interested in from a list of selections. And then you picked a month for her birthday and also a name. The name was the only totally open selection, for everything else, you were limited to the choices Mattel provided. Still you were able to create a pretty unique doll. They came in a special very light pink box with your doll's name and "specially made for . . . with your name" showing in a cutout oval on the front flap.

You could then order the doll you designed from Barbie.com. That was in 1999. I'm not sure how long they were available but they haven't offered these there for sometime now.
