Any ideas as to what to turn my beautiful vintage console T.V. into?

Answered a question earlier, as to whether anyone was holding on to a vintage console T.V. I have been doing so for years. This started me thinking, again, on what I could possible do with it, if I took the tube and picture out of the wooden frame.

Any ideas?

I have converted 2 so far to newer flat screen TVs. It's quite easy, just have to find the right size size flat screen to mount on the inside.

REMEMBER THIS: when removing the old cathode ray tube you have to discharge the anode. That's the large red wire attached to the picture tube. This will hold a charge even when the set is off, and if you don't do it and you grab that wire and yank it off or cut it, you might find yourself on the floor dazed.

Also make sure when you mount the flat screen from the inside you don't block the infrared detector for the remote.
A little carpentry work and some time and you will have a nice looking Console TV. One more hint, DON'T try and hang it on the wall!!!!!!
