It is so easy to buy crepe paper; and it is such a common, everyday item; we do not usually stop to think of how versatile it is; but there are many, many things you can do with crepe paper; you will be amazed at the list.  Follow along with us; we are going to list 5 amazing ideas using crepe paper:

1. You can make kids accessories. Let's face it; kids are expensive. Their toys are expensive. But if you have a little girl, she does not have to be quite that expensive when it comes to accessories. You can decorate her hair with crepe paper flowers.  You can add matching crepe paper flowers for her shoes and her purse. Do not forget about her backpack. Easy, affordable and cute; crepe paper flowers for your little girl.

2. Dolls accessories.  Boy, Barbie can be expensive, right?  The cost for all those     accessories can really add up. But what if you can use crepe paper to decorate Barbie things or to make clothes for Barbie herself (This would apply to any doll, of course.)  You can just stretch the different colors of crepe paper around Barbie and affix firmly in the back – inexpensive and plentiful clothes for your Childs dolls.  Your daughter can do the work herself, and this will also help her practice her fine motor skills and creativity.

3. Keep the kids busy. What do you do when it is raining or snowing and the kids have to stay inside? How can you entertain them inexpensively and quietly? That is easy.  Give them some crepe paper folds (packages of crepe paper) and some safety scissors.  Let them do what they like. They will be relatively quiet and creative and clean up will be a breeze.

4. Shape a work of art. You can cut a piece of Styrofoam to whatever shape you like; perhaps a face or a heart.  Then make crepe paper flowers, complete with stems, and insert the blooms into the Styrofoam to fill in the face, heart or whatever.  You will have a work of art that you can hang on the wall or give as a gift.

5. Give a gift.  Do you have a sick friend?  Is she so sick that she is homebound, but not sick in bed?  How about a gift of crepe paper, scissors and adhesive? This can give her something creative to do rather than mindlessly watching TV or reading.

It's about the surprising switch of dynamics in a relationship between a married couple in turn-of-the-century England.

I was fascinated when I read it and watched it because it seems so relevant now even though it was written such a long time ago and I reckon should be necessary viewing for all of us here on GWS!

So my question is - have you read it or seen it - maybe studied it at school?

Studied the play several times over the years, once in high school then at college in more detail. I've seen the movie a few times. It's as amazingly relevant even today, thats why it comes up again and again in schools, it was so ahead of its time.
