So you are looking for the top Christmas toys, huh? Well you are definitely in the right place. Every year there are many different toys released on the market in the last quarter, in an effort to try make it into the top list of toys that kids will be requesting as Christmas gifts.

Unfortunately many of these toys never make it into the top list, and the few that do experience an amazing boost in sales. Who determines which toys will be the hottest for the season? It is actually the kids themselves, toy manufacturers hold little kids seminars where they showcase their new creations. The kids can then vote for their favourite toys, and those are usually the one that make the list.

This year there has been a huge increase in high technology toys being favoured more by children. There has been a growing trend of at least seventy percent of the top toys list being made up of high tech gadgets. Even the ordinary Barbie dolls are finding it difficult to compete, with things like the Barbie laptops that have just been introduced to the market.

As for the boys, you will also notice an increase in demand for gadgets like the spy watch from Spy Net, the Xbox Kinect from Microsoft and the new Stampede ECS from Nerf N Strike. This year there is also a new alternative for a cellphone for kids, it is called the VTech Text and Chat Walkie Talkie.

For both girls and boys they are a few choices too. There is the Leapster 2 Learning System from Leap Frog, they also have a new tag reading system. You could also get the Flash Cubes from Scrabble, that are a new spin on the traditional Scrabble and yet very educational.

Although they maybe demanding electronic toys there is still requests coming in for non electronic ones too. The Zhu Zhu pets and accessories are still very popular, as well as the new collectibles called Squinkies. Lego sets are also still in high demand, so are Barbie doll house sets like the Barbie Glam Vacation House. I almost forgot to mention the very comfortable My Pillow Pets, which many parents may want for themselves too.
