Dachshund Training – The Fastest Way to Train Your Adorable Dachshund

With just a $2 tool, your Dachshund training sessions can be carried out in a fun and effective fashion. From my experience this super cheap training device is definitely the fastest way to train a stubborn Dachshund dog.

You know, I used to find Dachshund training VERY difficult. After all, this breed is notorious for being extremely stubborn!

So, I'm pretty happy with my Dachshund training results so far and if you have clicker in hand right now, then kindly take note of the following tips. They've done wonders for my Yoshi!

(1) Teaching your Dachshund a new behavior can be quite challenging so make sure you use only top-quality reinforcer. The reinforcer must be of better quality than his regular food. Also use quality reinforcer when training in busy areas!

(2) Sometimes my Yoshi can be quite slow at capturing a new behavior.  So I often use targeting technique with a clicker to help her progress faster. It's been working like a charm for me so do consider using targeting if you find it hard to teach your Dachshund a particular behavior. Use luring only as a LAST resort!

(3) Stimulus control should be set up as soon as your dog has become fluent at doing the behavior that you've taught him. See, establishing stimulus control prevents your dog from forgetting that behavior. Dachshund training is challenging so you don't want all your hard work to be undone!

So why worry if you can train your elongated and adorable Dachshund with just a dirt cheap training device?

What is the best brand of dog food for a dachshund puppy?

My dachshund had her puppies a week ago.I know that I have to wait until they are weaned before I can feed them real dog food, but I want to be ready. What is the best brand for puppies of that breed? Purina? Science Diet? Eukanuba?

Science Diet start with canned you can mix it with puppy milk to make it thinner then as they get older you can mix in dry puppy small bites. The Science Diet is the best, and Dachshunds usually have teeth issues later life and the dry food helps keep the plaque off their teeth.
