Sewing tips? (plushies and doll clothes)?

I want to make cute plushies out of old clothes.. I do know little things about sewing, but not that much.. Any sites that could help me?

I was wondering how can you sew all of the insides of the plushies? And also, if the plushies have ears? How do you attach them properly? Do you have to manually sew it?

I have here a little sewing machine.. you know, those handy stuffs? my mom owns the larger one.. you know the traditional stuff, but I am scared to touch it.. should i use the larger one? Or the handy sewing thing is already fine?

Plush, doll clothes are too little compared to human clothes? Are doll clothes manually sewed?
