Ideas for Picking the Greatest Dollhouses

Virtually  every little girl adores dollhouses, but you may  well be nervous when it comes to choosing  the best one for your child. You may  know about the large array available, but maybe  you do not know how to pick just one. Think about  some of the following tips before you buy a dollhouse  for a girl of any age.

One of the most  important duties is to ensure the safety of the  child who will use the dollhouse the most. If  your kid is a toddler, you know that she probably  likes to explore new objects by trying  to eat them. Obviously, this may be a safety hazard,  and since lots of dollhouses include very small  pieces, you should take size into consideration before you purchase.  The bigger the dolls and furniture, the better.  However, that does not mean that the dollhouse has to  be equally large. Most small kids do not notice  the details as much as older children, so you should buy a miniature  house that includes just a few rooms. As long as a few larger  dolls and minimal furniture fits, your youngster will probably  be busy playing with the toy for hours.

On the other hand, if your  child is a bit older, she will likely prefer attention to detail. Clearly,  once she is past the phase of attempting to eat little  toys, the dollhouse can be any size. Several older girls  like large dollhouses, but they are typically more  detailed than the ones meant for toddlers. They usually  have several more rooms that are smaller in size, meaning that  more dolls and furniture will fit. This means that  your kid will be kept busy for hours taking in every aspect  that the new dollhouse boasts.

Many dollhouses are good at stimulating  the imagination. However, some can help it along with modern  technology. Several dollhouses can be lit up once they  are plugged in or supported by batteries. This can be amazing  to children who do not expect much realism in their make  believe world. Some also feature sounds that can amuse  children, such as music, talking, and common  household sounds.

You could  also reflect on whether you think your child  might be interested in passing the dollhouse on to her children.  A low-priced, plastic house may be acceptable  if you expect her to grow out of it soon, but as she gets  older, you might consider buying a more traditional  dollhouse that will last. Such houses are typically stately,  with porcelain or glass items and dolls. They are more for  show and collecting than heavy use, but your child  might appreciate such beauty in the bedroom for years  to come. Just make sure that is something your child  would be interested in before you purchase.

Before buying,  consider what your kid would most value. Attempt  to think about a few years in the future, not just currently,  especially if you plan to spend a good amount  of money. Dollhouses often last a lifetime, which is why  putting some consideration into selecting the best  one possible now is advised.

What show should I watch next?

I'm out of ideas about what show I should watch next. I just finished Dollhouse, and I've watched every single other show Joss Whedon made (Firefly, Buffy, Dr. Horrible, etc.), and have loved them all.

I've watched Pushing Daisies, Supernatural, Arrested Development, V, The United States of Tara, Scrubs, The Office, The Venture Bros, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Angel, Cowboy Bebop, Merlin, Hogan's Heroes, Dead Like Me, The Guild, Commmunity, Modern Family, Wonderfalls, Fooly Cooly, etc.

I'm looking for something Whedon-esque, I guess. And if not, then funny. And if not that, then paranormal.

Any suggestions are welcome. Unless you say anything close to Vampire Diaries. The last thing I need is vampire romance crap.

Birds of Prey - Batman and Catwoman's daughter. Superheros. Ended after 1 season but was excellent.
The Cape - Only lasted 10 episodes on NBC, but was an excellent series. Vigilante vs. Major Bad Guy, classic superhero plot-line but well done nonetheless.
Charmed - Classic witches, warlocks, and demons. This show set a precedent for supernatural drama throughout film afterward. A must-see.
Chuck - Cheesy, borderline sci-fi spy series with a focus on nerdism and comedy in the first season with plenty of action with crisp wit. This show is a breath of fresh air in a line-up of bad TV stations seem to be producing lately. One of my personal favorites.
Dark Angel - Two seasons of Jessica Alba as a genetically enhanced superhuman beating the crap out of baddies and conspiracy before she became slutty and popular. Has an after D-Day type twist you normally don't see, but is pulled off effectively.
The Dresden Files - Wizard for hire with a knack for getting into trouble. Lasted 1 season, but it was so good that I even read the book series to get more of it. Spectacular.
The Event - Aliens live among us, and more are coming. It has a few issues, but the character of Sean Walker is so amazing that you'll watch the entire thing and love it just to see him develop.
Haven - Mysterious, strange things are happening in the town of Haven, and the out-of-town FBI agent Audrey Parker seems connected to all of it in some way. You'd love this show in particular.
Heroes - Like Smallville, this show starts out great, but over time loses it's greatness in complexity. The first season is amazing, and the second is close behind. Worth checking out, if only for a while.
Human Target - Ex-assassin turned protector of those on their last leg. Great cast, intriguing characters, astounding fight scenes and cunning plot development. A top 10 of my favorites.
Jake 2.0 - NSA Tech Jake is involved in a lab explosion while checking for a virus on someone's computer. Nano-bots end up in his system and he ends up the first test subject for enhancing humans with computers on an atomic level.
John Doe - Mysterious man wakes up on an island and knows everything in the world but his own name. Conspiracy ensues, and at the end of the season you find that that is not all he can do....

At this point I'm tired of typing descriptions for each one so I'm just going to list them and you can Google them yourself. I'll place an * next to the best ones.
