Yes, it's a compliment, and if you look at most dolls, they usually have baby faces with big eyes, and lips.
It's the same with most cartoon characters, Babies, for the most part, and cute and adorable and bring out a protective instinct in us all. Women more so than men, but we too, feel that way.
Whether it's a human baby, or some baby animal, we all, look at them and say "Aww", it's a natural response.
So people love that look, and so when they call you baby face or doll or doll-face, it's a compliment.
