There are ways to maximize your dating prospects and get the dates that you want, but you need to act like one of the professional matchmaking experts in order to be a success in your dating seeking life.  If you don’t learn the proper techniques, you’ll fall flat on your face and won’t end up with the guy or girl of your dreams.

Don’t try too hard.  What?!?  Yes, you read that right.  You don’t want to try too hard to be perfect because that can backfire on you and mess up your chances with your dream date.  If you like someone and have always wanted to date this person, you don’t want to make some silly mistake to mess up your chances of success with this dating prospect.  You’ll need to become like one of the professional matchmaking experts in order to find that success.  What does it mean to try too hard to get that dream date?  If you really want to talk to this person you’ve been longing to date or even to approach someone you’ve just spotted across the room, you need to balance that sense of confidence with taming the obnoxious behavior.  Sometimes when you try too hard to be the star of the show, you appear to be obnoxious and over confident.  You may be trying too hard to be funny and flirty and coy, but you end up appearing less than humorous, overbearing and not appealing.

I've had dream dates but didn't recieve any reward or prize. It says in the instrucyion book there are rewards. But what are they?

Dates will always leave roses, but there is a random chance of getting something better. The Sim will come over and give your Sim something like a fountain, a hot tub, the DJ booth - mainly expensive gifts. It doesn't happen every time, it's completely random, but it's always amusing.

You can also get (although it's not restricted to dream dates) a call from your date's friend and you are instantly their friend for a short time. The relationship score starts out in the 30s so it's easy to make friends. Sometimes, if the Sim you're on a date with has a high skill level in something, your Sim will learn a skill point from them.
