Founder of Elegant Affairs, Andrea Correale, Wins Several Accolades for Distinguished Work

Elegant Affairs, a catering and event planning group, proudly announced that its founder, Andrea Correale, has won several accolades in the last three months. Correale appeared in the Millionaire Matchmaker, the popular television series produced by Bravo, as a contestant. She was named the L'Oreal Lifestyle Expert and filmed five L'Oreal lifestyle video segments hosted by the L'Oreal Paris Academy. She was featured in Gotham Magazine and the New York Post 'Page Six'; and on March 4th, Correale appeared in Newsday.

Her distinctions continue, Andrea Correale hosted the Player's Club event in which Kevin Spacey was honored with the 'Edwin Booth Lifetime Achievement Award'. The event was attended by the likes of Tony Bennett, the renowned American singer of jazz and pop. She hosted Bravo's Matchmaker Millionaire party at the Hudson Terrace, and a follow-up event for the Cardiovascular Research Foundation. A well-known name in New York, she has appeared on the Martha Stewart Living show on Sirius Radio, CBS and NBC-TV, offering ideas for the Superbowl, Valentine's Day and the Academy Awards.

Andrea Correale and her team of professionals at Elegant Affairs are reknowned for having created legendary and unforgettable venues for The Players, the Roseland Ballroom and the Nassau County Museum of Art. Who was that designer of classic chic?

I once saw a documentary of a ladies' high fashion designer - whose name, for the life of me, I can't remember, but whose work I really liked.

I would like to find out who he is/was.

I think he would have been born ~1920. He retired/held his last show either in 200X.

I think he was Italian, may have possibly have been French.

I know that doesn't narrow it down a great deal, but what seemed to be his signature was the sheer elegance of his evening gowns that excentuated feminine curves with taste. His range may have been limited, he certainly didn't seem to be particularly shocking or necessarily innovative, but he obviously excelled in the focus of his work on classic figure hugging long dresses.

A description along the lines of "the master of making a woman feel like a lady" comes to mind.

Any ideas who I am thinking of.

the "chic" style was origionally started by King Louis XIV in the late 17th century. i can't think of who else might have influenced more chic, maybe Elsa Schiaparelli? or Charles Fredrick Worth, Paul Iribe, Georges Lepape, Erté, or George Barbier? I am not quite sure who you are looking for, but i hope I can be of some help.
