Leo Fender

He was born Clarence Leonidas Fender on August 10th 1909. Leo Fender is an American inventor. He is the founder of the Fender Electric Instrument Manufacturing Company, which is now popularly known as Fender Musical Instruments Corporation. All of the guitars, bass guitars and amplifiers that he created since the 1940s are still one of the leading musical products of today and has been like this for 50 years. There are many different companies that create amplifiers that have the design and composition of the Fender amplifier. Additionally, your Fender is considered as one of the most influential people in the field of electronics and instrument production of the 20th century.

On his early years, Leo Fender had shown a pretty much too huge interest for tinkering with electronics. He was from California. He graduated from Fullerton union high school and afterwards entered Fullerton junior college and took up accounting. While he was currently studying that time, he still teaches himself electronics and still messing around with radios and other electronic items. He never went to any electronic course while one college.

In 1938, he barred $600 and started his own radio repair shop. He named it" Fender radio service". Later on he started creating PA systems and has attracted a huge crowd. People so when it began renting and buying his Electronic Products. During world war two, he met Clayton Kauffman have recently worked for and Rickenbacker guitars. That was the time he created guitars and pick up.

After the world war two, big bands started to fall out of fashion and the word has seen the rise of small combos. Combos are bands that are composed of four members each place the drums, guitars, bass and the singer. That time combos are playing boogie-woogie, rhythm and blues, and western swing. This is the time that it felt the need for louder instruments.

At that time, Leo Fender was experimenting with guitar pickups. He made experimental models of pickups and tested it on a crude solid body guitar. He didn't know what first that the solid body guitar would be the thing of the future. This led to the creation of the first prototype, a single pickup guitar. The first Fender guitars were called the esquire, which features single coil pickups and changeable necks. Later on the move on and produced double single coil pickups guitars. That was named the broadcaster. But because of a copyright infringement threat from Gretsch Company, stating that the name broadcaster was too similar with their drum products. That is why he changed the name to telecaster. Which will later be the world's most popular guitar name.

Leo Fender was very humble and very friendly to his employees. He died in 1991 from Parkinson's disease. He never learned how to play the guitar, but despite that, he still has contributed the largest contribution to the guitar world. Fender musical instruments corporation is currently one of the largest musical instrument companies in the world. Thanks to Leo Fender.

Can a Fender Rumble 15 base amp be used with an electric guitar? Or just with a bass guitar?

I have a Fender squire electric guitar with a Fender Frontline 15g. Now I got a Fender Bass guitar. I know that I can't use the Frontline for the bass guitar, but can I use a Fender Rumble for both the Bass guitar and a regular electric guitar?

You can play either guitar through either amp.....with limitations. If you play the bass guitar through the regular guitar amp, you must do it at VERY low volume or risk shredding your speaker. I'm talking about whisper volume here....practice levels only. The guitar can be played through a bass amp without doing any damage, but you won't get the best tone. Each amp is optimized for it's respective instrument. The bass amp has a beefy speaker which is made to reproduce lows. The regular guitar amp is designed for a higher frequency range......but there is overlap.
