Can you use Elmer's glue CLEAR for miniature dollhouse drinks?

If i want to make a charm, and i have a mini glass cup and i want to make a drink, can i use elmer's clear glue & food coloring and salt or beads clear to make it look like a drink? i saw a video and a lady used clear SILICON, but i don't feel like buying clear silicon and gel food colorring, if i couuuuld find it i would, but i dn't think im able to.

so can u just use CLEAR elmer's glue & REGULAR food colorring? the liquid one?

I haven't used their "clear" glue but all permanent white glues will dry clear if they're not too thick.
Elmers Clear (and especially not permanent white glues) won't will be crystal clear though probably and without visual distortion. The Clear Elmers shoudl be fine for something like this though.

There are a lot of substances you could use to simulate liquids in a glass though, and especially for a very small amount like that...some possibilities would be:
...clear fingernail polish
...any clear "sealer" you have around the house (polyurethane, craft finishes, etc)
...2 part epoxy glue
...clear "acrylic mediums" from the craft or art store (used for mixing into acrylic paints for various uses/effects)
...cyanoacrylate floor polishes, like Mop 'N Glo or Pledge with "Future" Shine
...some other glues that are clear like DucoCement and others, or even perhaps E6000 though might not be crystal clear
...UTEE or other clear embossing powders (melted)
...clear silicone caulks ("silicon" is sand)...silicone caulk can be found in tubes at hardware stores and places like Home Depot, perhaps Sears, and even occasionally at Target, etc
or less easy:
...resins of various types

Don't know what this means: "and salt or beads clear to make it look like a drink? Were you thinking of simulating ice? Clear beads and other things would work but salt would just dissolve into any substance that's water-based which is most of the things above.
