Energy Profiling is Changing the way we Understand the Masculine and Feminine

Ginny emailed me with the following question:

Carol,

I have studied masculine and feminine energies and sexual polarity for a very long time.  I just watched your 4^th video on the My energy profile assessment.  You said that masculine and feminine energies are no longer relevant.  Your husband, John, is a type 2 which means yin and you are very yang.  If masculine and feminine energies no longer matter, where is the sexual polarity in that?  Isn’t that just as important in a marriage?  It works for you and John because you can still play the energy of opposites.  You just play the masculine instead of the feminine?

I would love to hear your input on this topic, because I remember reading about sexual polarity in your older ebooks on marriage and relationships.  I felt as though you were throwing all of that out when I watched video 4.  I’m just beginning to become familiar with the energy types.  Can you please clarify this for me?

Dear Ginny

Great question,  You are not clear on what I am teaching though.  Energy Profiling does not make the masculine and feminine irrelevant, I am sure I did not say that.

What I teach is Energy Profiling makes the cultural stereotype of the feminine being yin and the masculine being yang obsolete.   I lead with my feminine with the influence of my yang Energy Type, my husband leads with his masculine with the influence of his yin Energy Type.  I play the feminine in our marriage and Jon plays the masculine.  I am a yang feminine, he is a yin masculine.

So this leaves the feminine/masculine polarity in tact.  You could have a Type 1 yin feminine in partnership with a Type 2 yin masculine.  You could have two Type 4 people together, or two Type 3 people, I have seen every combination.

The feminine and masculine is being redefined with the shift from the Pisces era to the Aquarius era.  This means we are moving from a dominant/subordinate pattern to one of partnership with no dominant/subordinate in the couple arrangement. The stereotypical pattern in the pisces era has been the dominant male with the subordinate female.

As is the case in my marriage, understanding my yang feminine nature and my husband’s yin masculine nature has allowed us to create a partnership where both of us lead equally just with different movements and natural expressions. I play the feminine because I am a woman, Jon plays the masculine because he is a man.

It just looks different than the stereotypical female/male roles of the past due to our Energy Types.  I am grateful for Energy Profiling, it has been a great blessing to help Jon and I understand each other better, to give up old, unnecessary patterns of the dominant/subordinate to create a beautiful partnership where we both are equal and honored.
