Gold is not only a hard color to pull off wearing, but when you are able to pull off this color the next question remains, how do I accessorize my look? There are definitely many options you should stay away from and finding the perfect accessories can be extremely difficult.

You definitely do not want to match your accessories with your dress. Gold on gold is going to be a little too much. You do not want to take away from your dress by adding more gold. This will actually clash with your dress rather than make your look complete.

Wearing the choice of gold does limit the amount of choices you have when it comes to accessories, but however still leaves you with a few options that will not leave you with only wearing a gold dress. If your style tends to be on the funkier side black accessories are a great choice and will not clash with your dress. What colors should my eye shadow be if I am wearing a gold dress?

I know you're not supposed to match your eye shadow to your dress, but I typically wear a shimmery gold shadow. I am wearing a gold dress for a special event and am not sure how I should do my makeup.
Any color suggestions for lip and eye are appreciated.

a nice shimmery golden brown would work perfectly...maybe some brown mascara and a light brown eyeliner to match it and you good to go!
