It's been one heck of a ride through the auto industry over the past couple of years, but we're finally getting a chance to see some returns for the hard work the engineers have put in across all automakers. Ever since the recession, St. Charles Lexus dealers have been focused on bringing as much efficiency to their engines as possible. While many people look at the recession as a bad thing, there are definitely some positives that came out of it, especially on the business side. The level of efficiency across all businesses has gone up in an effort to clean up some of the waste that was occurring, and nowhere has the effort hit home more soundly than in the auto industry. It all began with a little car called the Prius, which set the bar extremely high for fuel efficiency and changed the focus of a lot of manufacturers. Now, everyone seems to be focused on fuel efficiency, and the electric vehicles that will hit the street this year will really change the game for St. Charles Lexus drivers. Until electric cars reach their plateaus, we'll still expect to see Lexus pumping out the best engines on the market.

 

For 2011, it looks like Lexus will be leading the luxury market yet again in fuel efficiency. According to the organization's annual top 10 fuel-economy leaders, two Lexus hybrid models made the prestigious list. The HS 250h luxury sedan was among them, getting a solid 35 miles per gallon in city driving and 34 miles per gallon on the highway. St. Charles Lexus drivers love the HS 250h, which is perfect for a nice luxury car that doesn't eat up too much fuel. Another car to make the list from the Lexus lineup was the RX 450h SUV, a luxury large car that offers a driving experience unlike any other on the market. It also logs a fantastic 32 miles per gallon in the city and 28 miles per gallon on the highway. With so many luxury manufacturers lagging behind, it's impressive to see Toyota's baby racking up the accolades for St. Charles Lexus dealers everywhere.

 

According to a recent article in AutoTalk, a great online publication for St. Charles Lexus drivers everywhere, "Lexus was the first luxury brand to offer a hybrid vehicle with the RX 400h in 2005. Since then, it has introduced a new hybrid almost every year, including the GS 450h, LS 600h L, RX 450h, and most recently, the HS 250h. When the CT 200h premium compact hybrid arrives next year, Lexus will offer a total of five fuel-efficient, low emissions hybrid vehicles." This kind of fuel efficiency on luxury cars is only available through Lexus, a brand that has been stumping the rest of the luxury market for the past several years. Fortunately, Toyota is involved, and the brand has had a focus on engine technology for the past 10 years. It's good to hear that they continue to blast forward for St. Charles Lexus dealers everywhere.
