What is the perfect haircut for long wavy hair?

I am 13 and I have long wavy hair but the waves are really ugly if I leave my hair down without doing anything to the hair. Also, my hair is EXTREMELY thick so I can't have a very short haircut. Links would be appreciated... THANK YOU!!

I don't have any links - sorry, but I have long wavy / curly hair which is also very thick.

I find that the best cut for my hair is to have it long (4-6 inches below my shoulders), and to then have it layered - but make sure that the layers are long, so the shortest layer should be shoulder length.

Also have it shaped at the front to blend the layers in.

The put on serum and your waves will look lovely!
