The Magic Circuit of Water Fountains

In 2007, Lima opened the Magic Circuit of Water in the Reserve Park. It is honored with Guinness World Records and displays thirteen impressive fountains. It is not merely moving water, but combines movement, lights, sounds, and images that make unusual art.

The park is open Wednesday through Sunday from 4:00pm until 10:00pm. It is only 4 soles to enter and is free for children under 4 years of age. The weekends are more crowded but the park is huge so you will enjoy your visit whichever day you choose to go. The spectacle is very different during the day and the night. It is still fantastic during the day, but at night the lights and laser shows begin.

The Fantasy Fountain is especially remarkable at night when it hosts an audiovisual projection on the water. Music and laser lights accompany the images of Peru's culture and history. The program lasts about 30 minutes and takes place hourly.

You can actually interact closely with a few of the fountains, making it a great family outing. The Labyrinth of Dreams Fountain is for the playful visitors. The water shoots up from the ground, and you can run around inside. The water jets out at random intervals, so don't both trying to predict your steps. After all, you're on vacation so just relax and enjoy it, especially on hot days!

The Water Tunnel is a fountain that you can walk under without getting wet. It will leave with you with great memories and photos of an interesting record breaking park.

The park houses the highest fountain in the world, known as the Magic Fountain. It impressively jets water into the air over 262 feet (80 meters). It is also surrounded by a beautiful walkway covered with vines and flowers.

There are many other impressive fountains in the park, including a rainbow fountain and a pyramid shaped fountain. The park is one-of-a-kind in the world, so while you're in Lima, make sure to view the amazing works of art.
