Luxury Hotels Gear up for New Year

The La Concha Resort in San Juan, Puerto Rico is offering a New Year's Eve travel package that ties in with their New Year's Eve bash. Party indoors and out in the open-air lobby and pool deck. Food and beverage is served at Solera, Komakai and the lobby bar. The best DJs in Puerto Rico provide entertainment and a resident DJ from Miami comes every year. Guests also have the chance to listen to live entertainment, and watch the fireworks poolside. Room rates start at $299/night and there is a three night minimum.

Celebrate New Year's Eve in Boston at the Taj Boston. You can enjoy a four-course culinary extravaganza that begins with an amuse bouche of Rabbit Pistachio Terrine, continues with Oyster Rockefeller Gratinee followed by Winter-spiced Venison Carpaccio, then your choice of one of four entrée courses, including Classic Lobster Thermidor or Traditional Tornedos Rossini, and finishes with Pumpkin Semifreddo or Chestnut Mousse with cinnamon anglaise. It costs $120 per person and is offered from 5:30 p.m. until last seating at 11 p.m. Taj Boston also offers 42 suites with wood-burning fireplaces, available from $375 per night. Suites include the complimentary services of a Fireplace Butler who will prepare and light the fire for you. You'll also receive a $50 dining credit per stay to enjoy your favorite selections from the in-room dining menu.

The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City is offering two New Year's packages. The "Rock Star" package is available on 12/31/10, starting from $999, and includes the following: one night stay in a Classic Room at Borgata, $50 beverage credit to Borgata's bars and nightclubs, breakfast for two at The Metropolitan and ll access nightlife passes for two. The "Resolution" package is available on 12/31/10, starting from $799, and includes a one night stay in a Classic Room at Borgata; $50 beverage credit to Borgata's bars and nightclubs; breakfast for two at The Metropolitan and Spa Toccare day passes for two.

Ring in 2011 at the New Year's Eve Gala at the Mandarin Oriental New York. The hotel is hosting a black-tie evening that begins at 7:00 pm with butler passed hors d'oeuvres and a premium open bar. The Gala includes a four course gourmet dinner with delicacies including Kumanmoto Oysters, Iranian Caviar, Foie Gras, Maine Lobster, Filet Mignon and an array of desserts. After dinner, live music form the Harris Lane Orchestra will keep guests dancing into the New Year. Tickets cost $1,000 and the hotel is offering a New Year's Eve Gala hotel package rates starting at $5,150 for Central Park View Rooms or $8,150 for Central Park View Suites, and includes: two nights' accommodations checking in on December 30 or 31, 2010, two tickets to the New Year's Eve Gala, daily American breakfast for two, valet parking and late check-out of 4pm.

In Miami New Year's Eve is celebrated with the "Orange Drop" at the Hotel InterContinental Miami on December 31. Instead of descending, the neon orange actually rises to the top of the hotel, until it reaches its destination at the stroke of Midnight followed by fireworks display and a laser show at Bayfront Park.

New Orleans is one of the most festive places to celebrate New Year's Eve. A Pot of Gumbo drops at midnight in Jackson Square, fireworks over the Mississippi River and live local music keeps the party going long into the New Year. The Sugar Bowl teams, fans and friends are also in town. Hotel Monteleone's New Year's Eve package offers deluxe accommodations, welcome cocktails and special admission to the fabulous party in the Riverview Room atop Jax Brewery. From December 29 – January 2, choose any two nights to stay at the Hotel with the option of adding extra nights on request for $920.

A 1970s-style New Year's Eve awaits you at Gaylord Texan's annual New Year's Eve Ballroom Gala Dallas - Fort Worth, Texas. The package includes room accommodations and admission for two to the New Year's Eve Ballroom Gala featuring Le Freak starting at $465.25 per couple for one night. Or go back to the 1980s at Glass Cactus Nightclub with the Spazmatics on New Year's Eve. That package costs from $379 per couple.

Helsinki, Finland and the Klaus K hotel's 2011 New Year package includes a night's stay, sparkling wine on arrival, New Year's Eve dinner for two at Ilmatar Restaurant, tickets to Ahjo New Year's party and The Best of Finland -breakfast at Ilmatar Restaurant starting from $301.9 USD per room.

Should I give him a second chance or is he using me?

Last year, I went out with this guy for about a month. I thought things were going pretty well between us. Because he always picked me up, paid for everything and always called or emailed after we went out, I thought we were dating. Also he kept talking about this gala that he wanted me to be his date to.

Than, suddenly he's busy all the time. Then he sends me an email talking about how the dating scene in our town sucks and did I know any good churches were he could meet single, Christian women.

I was pretty annoyed and didn't respond. Two weeks go by and he text messages me at midnight and goes, "I'm officially a Redskins fan!!!"

I take him off my Myspace friends list and a year goes by and I hear nothing from him.

Than, two days ago, he texts me out of nowhere asking how I am and how's my family. Than he called and left a voicemail asking if I wanted to get together because he misses our conversations.
