Do you get presents at the wedding evening party?

Me and my fiancee are getting married in July and we were wondering if we get presents from people who come to the evening do?
the evening do is the e reception party that is held after the people who werent invited to the ceremoney or reception.

I am guessing quite a few people answering this question are not English. In England it is quite traditional to have an evening reception to which you invite those who were not at the Reception and Wedding Breakfast.

Given that the Wedding Breakfast can cost upwards of £50 per person and often actual ceremony venues can only seat 60-90 people I think that it is absolutely fine. There are plenty of people who I am not close enough to to invite to the ceremony but whom I would love to celebrate my day is some aspect so I will invite them to the evening reception.

I will feed them probably a buffet and drink and dance and be merry with them but I would expect a present from them, although I personally would take some sort of present if invited to an evening reception.

I think it is absolutely disgraceful how selfish some people on here are being- there are people who would want you to celebrate their day with them, albeit not the ceremony and you selfishly think of yourselves and not about them and their day- you are second class citizens, because you behave as such, not because of where you are invited!!!!!!
