What Rabbits Eat Shouldn't Be A Guessing Game

First, it depends on what age your rabbit is. Baby rabbits, bunnies if you will, have different nutritional needs from grown rabbits. If you have rabbits less than 7-months of age, this would be classified as bunnies.

It's important to ensure that a rabbit meets its nutritional requirements, just like all other pets, animals, and yes, humans too. Rabbits can live as a pet from 8-12 years, especially when spayed or neutered, so feeding your rabbit good food will ensure a healthy and happy life.

Rabbits are herbivores, in other words vegetarian. Much like wild rabbits munch on grass, pet rabbits need the same. However, this is given in the form of hay which is dried grass. Pellets are given to rabbits as well as this provides them with fiber and other nutrients.

Vegetables should be given on a daily basis, but not just any kind, you have to make sure that it's safe for your rabbit. Fruit is given as a treat to adult rabbits. Always wash veggies and fruit, prior to giving them to your rabbit.

Rabbits have quite the sensitive digestive system, so when introducing new foods to a rabbit, you have to give a small amount. Also, it's important not to switch foods suddenly, but rather integrate then wean off the original food.

Watch to see that your rabbit doesn't have diarrhea, and how it takes to the food. If it's all good, then you can give more of that particular food.

Rabbits must have fresh water at all times, whether given by water bottle or in a dish bowl. Actually, using a bowl for water would be more natural to a rabbit.

Hey there everybody, I need to find a cute, friendly bunny rabbit in or near Miami, Florida.

Its for my girlfriends birthday, and i need to find one by April 23rd. I have no idea where to find a bunny rabbit.

Anybody know where I can get a cute, healthy bunny rabbit for $50 or less in or around Miami? Thanks.

Hi Alex. Call around to some local pet stores to see if they have any. I've purchased 2 rabbits from local pet shops ( they were about $30.00 each ). You will also need a cage, which will cost anywhere from $50.00 to $100.00. Make sure your girlfriend is serious about getting a rabbit. They live 5 to 7 years, and they require a lot of care and attention. Good Luck to you
