Okay so my dress code = no shorts shorter than 2 in higher than knee and no tank tops or sandals . It is very hot and even though most rooms at my school have like air conditioning , half of my classes I am taking this year don't. I am very annoyed at the heat. No one that I know at my school has broken it yet. What happens at your school if you have broken the dress code? Is it serious or anything? Do teachers actually care if you wear short shorts , flip flops and tanktops?

I've never broken the school dress code before, but that's because my mother is strict about the way I dress, so I wouldn't leave the house without wear clothes with sleeves and shorts down to my knees anyways. At my school, the dress code allows shorts and tank tops with straps 3 inches wide, no spaghetti straps. Also, no low cut tops or altered clothing (like cuts or giant holes in inappropriate places). If you break the dress code, sometimes the administrators will catch you and send you down to the office where they will make you change into grey sweats (which nobody likes, because they're quite unattractive). However, usually the nice kids who act sweetly around the administrators never get caught. I know the daughter of one of the counselors always wears spaghetti straps but never gets sent down to the main office to change because she reputably sweet and the "good girl." It all depends.
