Earlier miniatures were typically smaller, but they have grown bigger over the years. Model Ship wargaming is usually carried out with ships that are in scales of 1:1250 or 1:1200. It is a good idea to find items that match if you are trying to build a set.

Many collectors can share their passion for the miniatures by joining a wargaming society or group. This is an ideal to learn about the wargaming world as well as sharing your ideas. Many of these societies host gaming wars and workshops.
