15 and pregnant...should I plan the "funeral"?
Well since I'm so young and having a baby in a month or so, I know my life is over! So I was thinking of having a funeral for myself.
It will be sort of like a party or shower, but I'll have a cake shaped like a tomb stone, and hang skeletons everywhere.
And my BFF can say a eulogy for me while I lay in a cardboard coffin.
And rather than getting gifts, people can shame me, wag their finger at me, throw wadded up papers at me, tell me stories of other unfortunate teens who became miserable moms, and whack me upside the head with their palms or shoes.
Does this sound like a good idea? And when should I start planning it? Before or after the baby comes? Would my mom like it, should I invite her? Thank you in advance!
lol first off, let me tell you to ignore the stupid people who took this idea too seriously. Your life isn't over ...completely...But life as you once know it is really gone. So in a way yea your childhood is dead, but the best part of your life awaits you... I personally think this is a hilarious and great creative idea...I'm prego now and i'm seriously considering taking your idea. Even though i'm married and we planned to get prego, I know my life is over as i knew it. I wouldn't do the whole skeleton thing and putting you down. I would do it like a real funeral. even do an obituary in the paper...like the coffin, like the eulogy, other friends can come up and say things about how you where and what they are likely to miss about your old life, and what they are looking forward to in your new. and people can bring flowers to you (some people can fold baby clothes to look like flowers that would be cool to have. you can hand out favors after the ceremony with information about safe sex and lol have a condom in it. In fact you should invite the whole school for this "safe sex/ funeral party" And i would do it after the baby is born since you are so close now anyway. you can dress the baby in black too. And your child will not blame themselves too ruining your life, I'm sure they will have you since of humor about it... who knows you may just start a family tradition in before the baby shower you get a funeral...fantastic fun! I know and we all know...you want your baby and love your baby, you were just saying your life as you knew it is over...
