How does the Army Bear Program work?

I am a Spc non P with 2 and a half years left. My current MOS is N/Y on the in out call list. Can I switch my MOS? I recently changed the MOS and am feeling a bit of regret. My old job is on the BEAR program. Do I need to re-enlist to enter the program? Am I even eligible, or do I need to wait until 24 months remaining and re-enlisting to three years?

I can almost guarantee you that you will have to re-enlist in order to change your MOS. The army needs you and you can make that your option when you re-enlist. If your MOS is on a stop loss though..you will not be able to do it. Also, some commanders and MOS's will allow you to do OJT while still being a member of your present unit.
