Blythe Doll Value?? The pricing?

I am very interested in Blythe Dolls especially in takara Blythe 12"

ones.

How come the prices on ebay are all different?

How do you know the doll's value????????????

Does it get more expansive by the doll's age???????

The prices are all different because there are a variety of Blythe dolls out there, the original Kenner Blythe, the Takara Reproductions, smaller Blythe Dolls made exclusively by Takara, and the Ashton Drake dolls from a few years ago.

There's no definitive way to know the dolls value, like with any other collectors market, older dolls that were produced in smaller quantities are going to command a higher price, an example would be the Gothic Lolita Blythe from a few years ago, she can reach upward of $500-$700 which is almost what a vintage Kenner Blythe goes for. This is because she was made from an exclusive mold, with original skin tone and eye colors, designer clothes, and she represents a popular sub-culture. But one of a kind custom dolls can also go for a high price depending on how well the work is. These can include custom hair, make-up, eyes, clothes, and even skin tone.

Just because a doll is older does not mean it will be more expensive. Naturally a doll made 2 years ago in 10,000 quantities and is still flooding the collector's market today will not be worth as much as a doll made in 200 quantities a month ago that is in high demand.
