They not only look good but they are comfortable and these classic cars reborn give you something to look forward to, every time you think about taking a short drive. Of course, those longer drives are the most fun, with the rumbling sound of the powerful motor and the sporty racecar presence that takes command of the roadway.

Classic Muscle car is a term used to refer to a variety of high performance Vintage Muscle Cars. However Merriam-Webster definition is more limiting, "any of a group of American-made 2-door sports coupes with powerful engines designed for high-performance driving." This term generally points out to a 2-door rear wheel drive mid-size cars, and sometimes full-size cars equipped with large, powerful, V8s, and sold at an affordable price for street use and both formal and informal racing. They are distinct from two-seat sports cars and expensive two plus two GTs intended for high-speed touring and racing. Developing on the American phenomenon and developing simultaneously in their own markets, muscle cars also emerged in their own fashions in Australia, South Africa, the UK, and elsewhere.

 

This vintage muscle car had a base price of just $2,727 and came with 427 cubic inches of pure Camaro terror and today there are plenty of clones that will cost you a handsome amount of money. If you were a "Chevy Driver" back in the 60s than you know that GM had a self-imposed 400-cu.in. limit on everything that rolled out of the factory besides large-sized boats and Corvettes. This was a shame because the 427 that Chevy offered was rated at 425 horse power and no doubt had the potential to clean up at the race track. Fact is that Ford and Mopars were mopping up out at the drag strips and this left one person by the name of Don Yenko a little upset to say the least.

 

For Don Yenko, knowing that GM had a motor Vintage Muscle Cars that could potentially eat up any competition that came its way this was very frustrating and he decided to do something about this. Don Yenko was one of a few factory-connected Chevy-racer dealers that were located here and there across the country and had made a name for himself hopping up Corvettes and Corvairs at his dealership in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. The rock and roll appeal, the sense of youth and freedom that's associated with it. These are just some of the things that make these cars total stand outs. Shall we talk interiors? Inside, one would be able to find a high performance vehicle with all the design integrity that many cars today can only hope to copy. The sound of its revving engine and the noise that it makes as it goes speeding down open roads will always send chills down a person's spine.

 

Needless to say, owning a Vintage Muscle Cars had become too costly. Then there arose various environmental concerns that wore away the muscle car dominion. Slowly but surely, people started looking for other options, which eventually led to the muscle car's popularity decline.

Vintage American Automobile?

Hi there I am an American muscle car lover and have been thinking for sometime about purchasing one of the beauties!!

It would be just for driving once a month to a vintage car show or charity run not an everyday commuter as they love the gasoline.

I don't have any real preferences for any particular model- I love the mustang, the charger, camaro, monte carlo, stingray corvette, firebird- all the classics.

I would really appreciate some information on costs, reliability and performance. anything of use please!!

I don't live in America so I would have to import one or find one in my own country.

I was looking at a stingray- 1978 with 28 thousand miles for about 10 000 euros, it was from a car dealers and looked in good condition (obviously I would have to inspect it): would that be a good deal?
