iPhone 4 bags the top spot on eBay's most popular item list
The iPhone has drubbed all its close opponents to bag the numero uno spot in the eBay's most popular item list, this year
Apple's iPhone, one of the most sought after gadgets this year, has now brought itself to the limelight by becoming the most popular item on eBay's Top Shopped 2010 list.
Another production of the Apple house, the iPad managed an enviable fifth position.
The iPad has been one of the major launches in the calendar year of 2010.It has also topped the Mossberg's Best of 2010 list. It managed to sell over 600,000 items this year.
The iPhone was a revolution of sorts since its first introduction in January 9, 2007. Since then it has introduced over 300,000 applications and has also come up with the latest version of the phone named iPhone 4.
The 2010 list
The annual list is compiled by eBay after comprehensively analyzing the sales as well as search data, to determine the gradation for the top shopping trends in the year.
Barbie with its whole new series of collections came in second. The third place was taken by "Military jackets", while the fourth place was occupied by Hot Wheels toys.
The top 10 list was completed by the World Cup, The Beatles, Silly Bandz, Alice in Wonderland and the New Orleans Saints.
Sales of iPhone items this year nearly tripled the sales of last year's topper "The Yankees," which sold around 551,230 items, last year.
